Tubby Time

Teddy took his first big boy bath with the girls tonight.  He clearly wanted to go upstairs when he heard them getting ready for their bath (his little legs start kicking like a puppy dog when he is excited about something).  So, I took him up and he let us know he wanted to get in on the fun.  Needless to say, he loved it. He was so intent on splashing and playing with the toys, it was hard to get pictures!

Snowy Day Take Two

The girls enjoyed playing king/queen of the hill and building a snowman with Scott this afternoon.  Teddy really wanted to go out too.  Next year, little man, next year.

Winter's Last Hurrah -- {I hope}

And man is it a doozy!  We've had a steady snow since about 10 o'clock this morning.  As ready as I am for spring I am so thankful for all of the snow and rain we've had the past couple of months.  Our drought status has officially been lifted and while this weather is lingering a lot longer than it did last year, I have to remind myself that last year was the anomaly and this is pretty much the norm for around here.  I certainly would not mind trading an early spring for a more normal summer -- with far fewer 100+ degree day than we've had the past two summers.  Hopefully today's snowfall is a step towards just that.  In the meantime as we wait for the cold, snowy weather to pass and spring to finally arrive, we are making the best of things.  The girls played in the snow while Scott shoveled and Teddy and I watched from the kitchen window, they enjoyed some time by the fire and hot chocolate to warm up, snuggled on the couch to watch 'Annie' and are about to head out for round two (and I've stayed in my pajamas all day) -- not a bad deal.

Happy Birthday, Lainie!  You sure do have a lot of little ones who love you very much!  Thanks for hosting Lauren and Jason -- sorry we didn't snap any pictures of the two of you!  (we were so focused on Peyton and her yogurt conditioner ;) ).

Double Egged!

The girls were thrilled to get back from their trip to the library with Scott yesterday to find that WE had been egged.  I am loving cultivating this friendship between the girls (and continuing my friendship with such a wonderful person).  Thanks so much McLellans!
