Paint

I was finally able to convert this video file into something I could edit. Unfortunately, the best I could do was eliminate the sound altogether. Millie doesn't say much (or anything...) so you're only missing me yammering on the phone, I just think it would have been more interesting to watch with music in the background. Note to self: don't talk in the background when using the digital camera to videotape!!

What We've Been Doing

Spring

It's not quite spring yet, but we're ready for it to get here at our house :). I am banking on spring coming to St. Louis a little faster than it did to Connecticut or Michigan ... hopefully we won't be disappointed our first year here! To help inspire mother nature a bit we decided to do our first "spring" painting to replace our winter/Christmas paintings in our hallway. This sunny painting is sure to bring a feeling of spring to everyday!


(yes, that is green paint in her hair ... just wait, soon you won't even notice that tiny streak ...)

(Merrill did get to get in on the fun too -- she painted the bird with her feet! I just wasn't coordinated enough to manage her, the paint, Millie and a camera!)

After we finished this painting, Millie got to to do a little "free" painting on her own. Her painting session started out innocent enough, but then it turned into an experimentation session of trying out different art "utensils" ... and ended in a bath. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow :).


I have great video of this process happening, but I'm talking on the phone in it and I can't seem to find a program to edit the audio out in ... :(. I'll keep trying!

Finally ...

I think Miss Merrill officially has her first tooth!! Woo hoo! Poor thing has been working on popping that tooth for what seems like months :). I have a feeling several more are going to quickly follow...

It wasn't the most romantic day Scott and I have had, but it was filled with lots of love all the same ... .

Valentine's breakfast of pancakes for Scott and Millie -- they were both very happy :)






Millie worked very hard on making gifts and cards for all of the people she loves during the weeks before Valentine's Day.

Just a quick note ...

... to say that we are still here and doing great. If you'll notice, the posts came to a screeching halt pretty much the same time Merrill started crawling ... probably not much of a coincidence! And on top of a very active, very fast, little 7 month old, we are working hard on potty training with Millie. Between the two of them, I need to have my eyes and ears on super-mommy overdrive :)!
