Easter Bunny
On Thursday I started to feel some (imaginary) societal pressure to take the girls to see the Easter Bunny at the mall. I don't know why ... saw one too many pictures of kids on the Bunny's lap on Facebook I guess. Needless to say, my first instinct to skip this particular holiday ritual was the correct one. Millie clenched up and clung to me anxiously as soon as we approached the Bunny and Merrill looked at me from my mom's arms with sheer panic on her face -- as if to say, "you aren't seriously considering giving me to that thing are you?!" So we walked up and said "hi" and then politely said "goodbye!" The carousel was much more to the girls' liking (though Merrill took a little convincing on that too -- it was her first ride!).
We had the same thing with Megs at a year and a half...she spied that rabbit over Kev's shoulder and in a growling-type of voice kept repeating.."bad hop hop"..we didn't realize the rabbit was walking up from behind us! She dug in deep into Kev's neck, and from then on (even to this day) "bad hop hop" gets repeated every Easter!
