It cracks me up how often this elephant costume still comes out when the girls are playing dress up. Millie still manages to get herself in it!

{BRRRR}
The girls had their first swim lesson of the season yesterday. In 60 degree weather. At least the sun was shining. They didn't complain at all though and jumped right in. They seemed to be comfortable doing all of the things they learned last year and not apprehensive at all. Hopefully the morning temperatures warm up a bit soon!
Countdown
The countdown to kindergarten is on. It may seem a little ridiculous to have a chain 78 links long, but Millie really wanted to make a chain. I think it's a good way for her to visualize how much time 2 1/2 months really is. She's excited to start at her new school in August as well as a little nervous. This way she can see it's not RIGHT around the corner. We should be hearing from Millie's teacher this month to learn who she is and to set up a home visit. It will all be very real then!

Bloomin'
It was so nice to come home to a garden in bloom -- much different than the over-heated garden we came home to last year! Even more of the flowers bloomed this weekend. I'm just waiting for the bee balm and cone flowers to pop!
June Garden Club
The girls and I headed to another local nursery on Saturday morning for another session of the children's garden club. The girls had fun planting containers for the patio. I have to say, these nurseries are wonderfully generous! We came home with two pots filled with plants (and a few garden fairies that we then bought in the store... )
Michigan
We had a wonderful trip to Michigan, spending time with both family and friends. The drive was much easier than we expected, thankfully. Of course, we took lots of pictures. Lots. So many that, well, posting them wouldn't really make sense. I did manage to boil them down to my 160 or so favorites and put them into a 6 minute movie with one of the girls favorite songs from the "kids" CD Scott made them. I fully appreciate that watching a 6-minute movie of our children is not the most exciting thing and that grandparents may be the only ones who make it through the whole thing ... but just in case you are interested ... At least you can fast forward as you please (and be happy that I didn't get in the pictures from Scott's phone!). Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful week -- as the last slide says, we're already thinking about our next trip (though not for several months...) and hope that we are able to see even more people when we make it up next!
