We did try some sweet potatoes this weekend, and more bananas. Both elicited the same "yuck" face. So, we just let her play with it in an attempt to make it more fun. She definitely seems to feel better about trying things when she has some control over the spoon. She tries to be such a big girl. I really do think that Millie is not quite ready to eat yet. Her tongue and gag reflexes are still pretty strong. But it's fun to let her explore the food with her hands ( she even cringes just touching it!) and it allows us all to sit at the table and "eat" as a family :)
Sunday was the worst of it, whatever "it" is. No cough or rash, lungs and ears were clear, just a high fever (too high to be explained by teething...). Millie stuck pretty close to mama yesterday. The rosy cheeks were really the only sign she wasn't feeling so great. She seems to be doing better tonight. She and daddy will stay home again tomorrow just to make sure we get 24 hours in fever free. Lucky ducks!
Happy 1/2 Birthday, Millie!
