We had a busy week/weekend of celebrations, first with my mom's birthday and then with Peyton's baptism. It was great to spend so much time with the whole family and we were super happy that Christian was able to make it home for all of the celebrations too. In the midst of our celebrations we also all took a moment to say a quiet goodbye to our Aunt Von and send prayers for peace to my mom and all of her siblings as they said their final goodbyes in Springfield Saturday morning. In carrying on with our celebrations of my mom's birthday and Peyton's baptism I think we also succeeded in celebrating Von's spirit and her love of life and family. Perhaps the best gift we could give my mom this year.
