Standing Around

This boy does not want to sit down.  Ever.

He's getting much better too and falling on his face much less (knock on wood).  He's goes up and down onto his knees and then to sitting from there.  I'm amazed he hasn't had any major bumps, bruises or bloody noses yet (again, knocking on wood).   He stands up on his toy basket (like above) and then bends down and reaches for a toy he wants and pulls it out and gets back to sitting.  All on his own.  All (generally) without falling.  That is skill.  This boy was just made to move.  Other skills he's been working on the past week -- crawling on hands and knees, though it's still kind of a monkey crawl on one knee and one foot,  and clapping.  I think he was inspired by my mom's birthday celebration when everyone cheered after the candle was blown out.  He practices clapping all the time now, though he's not willing to do it on command yet ;).

Had to laugh at the picture of Teddy holding on to the rocker. That's one determined little guy. You're going to have your hands full with him. You should talk to Patti about some of Bryan's escapades when he was just a little older than Teddy. Or, maybe you shouldn't... Sandi

  3. Determined indeed, Sandi! I'm a little nervous about what might come next. Neither of the girls really got into climbing things, but this little guy just might! We're going to have to invest in some serious padding for the house :).

Kathy -- the kids got their packages yesterday and really enjoyed them. Hope you are enjoying Sacramento!
