The St. Louis County Children's Garden Club met at the Museum of Transportation for their May meeting today. The topic was growing annuals and veggies. We got lots of useful information in the form of a handout and the leader talked a bit about up-coming events as well as how to care for these types of plants (he may have gotten a bit long-winded and technical for the audience, but overall it was good). You would think that May 4th would be a sunny, nice day to go and do some gardening. Not this year. It was cold and cloudy. But, as the leader said, it wasn't snowing :). Despite the weather, the event was very well attended. The girls enjoyed putting together flower baskets and getting tomato plants to bring home. They also enjoyed having Grandma there with them!
